Embodied learning

Curriculum crafted for you to experience in your body, mind and spirit
​Join Ashley Cheng, Tracey Silverman and a phenomenal team of guest teachers, on an incredible journey. Our 200 hour yoga teacher training program draws deeply on our knowledge as Forrest Yoga, Yoga Tune Up®, Alignment-based Vinyasa and Yoga Therapy teachers.

Schedule

We meet one weekend a month for 9 months.

  • Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Sundays, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.​

Benefits

  • Austin School of Yoga Training Manual
  • Upon successful completion of the training and homework, you are eligible to become a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance

*A minimum of 6 registrations must be made in order for the event to take place. We cap registrations at 16 to ensure meaningful connection between fellow students and teachers.

Curriculum 

Austin School of Yoga Teacher Training curriculum is all about embodied learning - crafted for you to experience in your body, mind and spirit. We understand that this world is full of people who learn in different ways. Whether you are someone who learns best by seeing (visual), hearing (auditory), or feeling (kinesthetic), our curriculum and methods for teaching has you covered.

  • Foundations of Self-Care, Self-Massage & Personal Practice
  • Basics of Body Biomechanics and the Language of Movement
  • Embodied Anatomy
  • Clear Communication and Effective Cueing
  • Hands-on Assists and the Energetics of Touch
  • Trauma Informed Yoga Care
  • Fundamentals of Safe Sequencing
